Although I still watch the show out of sheer obligation since I've seen every other episode since day one, I have to admit this "5 year jump" is kind of ridiculous. I wasn't too happy with the way the last season unfolded w/Katherine's story coming to light but I was personally offended when the season returned with Mike and Susan divorced especially after all the work and trouble it took for them to get them together in the first place!!! As far as Susan goes anyway, her once "cute/klutzy" behavior isn't so cute to me anymore and is borderline moronic. Plus what happened to her career as the children's book illustrator?? Would someone please tell me where she gets money from plus having a daughter in college??
I don't really mind the whole Bree and Katherine thing so much except that Katherine is just kind of boring anyway. I did think Bree had a lot of nerve acting ashamed of Orson and neglecting him because of him going to jail when SHE was the one that made him turn himself him! Rudeness
The issue I have with Lynette is the whole 40 something woman being pregnant by her teenage son... Um didn't we already go down this road a couple of years ago w/Gaby and her affair with John the teenage gardener??? Recycling plots are we??
And last but not least-Gaby and Carlos. Don't even get me started w/them. I think it's INSULTING to make such an atttractive woman PURPOSELY look like a bum in every episode now!!! It's absurd. Yes she put on a few pounds but what does that have to do w/her cutting her hair and her colors not even matching or her not being the spoiled, glamorous,money obessed, sex kitten that we fell in love with?? That was her character and if we wanted a real dose of reality, that's what we had the other women for. Gaby may have been all those things but she still had a good heart and at the root of it all, loved her husband so there was nothing wrong with leaving her same. I thought Carlos being blind was more than I could stand until the mad her wear that fat suit and gave her those kids!!! OH MY! That 4 year old looks 14 and why in the world are they so fat and unattractive?!?! Maybe for regular children but not for THEIR kids! I'm sorry but no.
By the way, has anyone else noticed the unrealistic "swapping of the husbands" thing that they seem to like to write into the stories??? I mean first it was Edie getting w/Susan's ex husband Carl then moving on to Carlos and now we've got the lame plot of Katherine and Mike-stupid! I tell you if those that was my friend, her teeth would be having a nice conversation with my knuckles bc that is messed up! I guess we'll have to stay tuned to see how it unfolds but needless to say, in case you couldn't tell, I am NOT pleased where this has gone...

They really JUMPED THE SHARK on this show. I get the whole five year thing but how is it that Lynnette and Tom have grown kids but Toms daughter is still little? Wasnt she like the same age as the youngest Scavo or older then all the Scavo boys?

Please please PLEASE have Ted McGinley join the cast. Time to put this horse out to pasture.

Desperate Housewives jumped the shark when Susan and Mike got divorced and Susan hooked up with Jackson. Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. When Edie's husband showed up and when Gaby and Carlos reunited and got married. Crazy people doing crazy things. At least Orson and Bree and Tom and Lynnette are together 4ever and they will never go apart.

Susan should break up with Jackson and get back on track with Mike. Mike and Edie's husband should do some crazy things. Hee hee.

Palin for 2012

After we viewed "DH" last evening (02 November 2008), my wife and I came to the conclusion that a "DANGER, COUGAR SIGHTINGS" alert sign should be posted in the neighborhood.

They give Gabby kids, they give Edie a husband, the Scavo boys grow up, Bree is a celebrity, Andrew is a mature adult, Danielle is a wife and mother, and Dylan and Julie are gone. Sounds like all the JST ingredients!
And also Edie was the second woman on to move back to her old house on WL. Who moves back into their old house years later?! That never happens!!!

The five year jump in season five really threw me off the loop big time. You know Susan Myer divorces Mike Delfino, Carlos and Gabby give birth to two chubby kids, oh the horror of it all, and what is more interesting is seeing Lynette and whats his name's kids as misfits while the hubby has his offical mid life crisis. The only thing that really keeps things interesting is that new husband of Edy's who seems to have a few little indiscretions of his own. I don't think the five years later thing did not hurt the show at all. It just thinckens the plot all the more. Love to see what the season finlale comes out like.

The Bongo mystery has been solved!

Marc Cherry did an interview a few weeks back and told viewers what happened to Bongo.

During Season #3 Mike was in a coma for 6 months.

Marc basically left it up to viewers to decide what happened to Bongo.

Susan giving Bongo away realizing she couldn't take care of him anymore, Bongo ran away during this time or Bongo passed away.

Speaking of DOGS remember Roxie [Carlos' dog] and Rafael [Bob and Lee's dog] I wonder what happened to them.

Does anyone know what happened to Mike's dog Bongo??? I don't know if he was killed or what, but he siims to have vanished without a trace.

If Gaby & Carlos had a baby it would be adorable. There is no way that coupling could produce two fat ugly kids. I hate Gaby unatractive. It was so much fun before.

The show jumped this season. Come on really…look at Gabrielle? She looks like hell and has a blind guy and two fat ugly children!!! Talk about jumping the shark. Well the kids arn't ugly BUT she would never have them especially since she doesn't have the female ability to do it.
