I thought the Connors were fighting to save mankind. The show has devolved to Dr. Phil meets a terminator.
I'm really hoping for a good episode tonight. I hate John's girlfriend and the whale next-door neighbor. I would like to see more Camemron and Derek. I think a dog would be a great addition to security.

John has become so unlikable it's hard to watch him. I just want to slap his mouth.

Get rid of Ellison. I never liked him. And his lame Ex-wife.
Jumped about four shows in. Once the producers said "F YOU" to Termintor 3 (which was weak, but still part of the "Terminator Francise") set guidelines/timelines, the show was done with me.
Bad plot lines? Untrue to the original? Maybe-but I can't seem to pry my eyes away from the red-hot Summer Glau. And the deadpan delivery of her lines...for some reason it just makes me moan. I guess it's just typical male fantasizing: a smoking hot teenage robot who does what she's told...yummy!
There are multiple things wrong with this show that could be corrected but I tend to doubt will be.

1) They need to get rid of that loud-mouthed Riley. She's annoying and irrelevant to the story. They should be developing romantic tension between Cameron and John.

2) They need to develop Cameron more. Her character has not changed much at all since the first episode of season 2. She's supposed to be "different."

3) Too many major characters; get rid of most of them.

4) Make main characters more sympathetic. They're becoming less and less likable.
I cannot believe how much FOX and the writers of the show have killed the TERMINATOR franchise. How can anyone mess up the incredible foundation that James Cameron laid out? I mean the most simple thing in the franchise is being completely ignored... WHERE ARE THE F--ING DOGS TO WARN OF TERMINATORS?!?!?!
This storyline with James Elison is boring the crap out of me, it's like "Just cut to the chase already." That opening in the recent ep with there being another Triple Eight that happens to have had skin put on it to look like James, it was all just too quick. Then all the sudden the other Terminator easily kills it, saving him? "Skynet does not believe in you like I do."

I'm sorry but since Cameron is the hottie of the show that is to boost the young male audience, so far she's not doing anything that helps.
Season one was incredible; what happened? It jumped the shark at the start of season 2. Too much human interest, teen angst & unnecessary new characters. Smarten up.
The woman who sleeps with Derek (Asian, english accent) sucks! I hope there is a good plotline there somewhere.

The best actor on the show is the former FBI dude.
D.O.A.! That's all folks
The suicidal Conner episode was disturbing. Is every episode going to be psycho-babble? If it is I will turn it off.
What in the F**k is happening to one of my favorite new TV shows?? The writing in the first four episodes have been deplorable. Why would Cameron be concerned with the foundation and interior design of the new safe house?, oh and don't forget the security threat of birds nesting in the chimney...WHAT! John has apparently lost all focus and has deteriorated into cliched rebellious teenager with raging hormones... WTF!

The casting of the new characters haven't been any better! I mean, I like Shirley Manson from Garbage but her acting is horrible. I can't stand the new landlord and John's new love interest... WRONG! All of these new characters are either sub par actors or mis-cast. There are so many bad signs in this new season.

Furthermore it appears they are abandoning several substantial sub-plots they developed in the first season, particularly the high school supporting cast. There's John's buddy Morris, the troubled girl Sherri and the secret surrounding the suicide... I get the feeling these subplots are being retired.

Most egregious is the eliminated Sarah Connor's internal narrative that accompanied every episode last season. Her introspective insights were singularly poetic and a tribute to James Cameron... I guess the writers are getting lazy.

I'll keep watching but I've got a bad feeling that FOX executives got way too involved during renewal negotiations. Too bad... the first season was so excellent.
The Cameron-on-flashbacks' episode was just weird and disturbing. Oh, add tortuous. I loved the ballet Cameron. Not the "I can act, seriously act" Cameron.
@Blake

Ok let's hammer this one out.

1. What happened to the safety word when answering a phone call??

I think they haven't used it once. A valid point, but not a huge deal show wise.

2. Why is Cameron way too emotional? Be a damn Terminator and stop trying to be an actor! Does this show have any rules?

She said she was different in the very first episode right before she ate a chip and other Terminators don't know what she is either. We don't know much about her and her abilities. So yes, the show does have rules.

3. Speaking of emotions. Terminators don’t cry! Cameron was shedding tears. Um, didn’t Arnie say he couldn’t cry at the end of T2??

Again... she is different. Arnie was a T-800. We don't know what model she is or what her capabilities are.

4. Not really giving a crap about that side storyline involving Mr. Detective and Irish T-1000.

That's fair that you don't care about a "side storyline," but I have a feeling it's going to be a big deal

5. How does Sarah get the brand new Vehicles?? Okay, I get it that it’s all advertising, but at least provide a plausible explanation. That’s all I ask.

Do you pay attention to the show? They have a bag full of diamonds. Is that not plausible?

6. Why the hell do they stay in the same city, let alone the same country????????

This is a nitpik here. They stay in the same country because who wants to see a Terminator: Canada?

7. Keep this show simple to it’s original concept. I want to see the chase between machine and man.

As far as I know... that's what they've been doing, but adding in little mysteries here and there. The mystery of Cameron is a big draw for me.

8. So, Terminators are suppose to be heavy, then why was Cameron able to sit atop that bed without it getting crushed?????

Okay... calm down it's a TV show. She's heavy, but we don't know how heavy. She's a different type of Terminator and she's shorter and some beds are pretty sturdy.
This is an excellent show! I think it is hard to screw this up when you always have the basic premise of the movie to fall back on. The acting on this show is very good - Brian Austin Green especially. Listen, as a guy I have to say that Sarah and Cameryn are both extremely hot. They are intriging charaters and are attention getting from beginning to end. Hopefully FOX will not screw this one up!
