SO HAPPY to find other people loved this show!! Does anyone know if it's on DVD or can be downloaded? Would love to see just how relevant it is now.
I loved this show! It wasn't 20 years ahead of it times it was 50. People still aren't there yet! Totally amazing for it time!!!
I am so happy to find ANYONE that knows this show. I, like Shawn above, was a kid but remember the theme song. Hummmm... I'm gonna track down those few shows. Gotta love LA.
I. too, absolutely loved this show. I still even remember the theme song. I do agree that when the show came on that it was very much a shocker...but...it was wonderful!!!
I loved this show, I was so sad that took it off the air.
It was 20+ years ahead of its time,
the closed minded people could not deal with the thought of it.
I would like to find it on DVD or evan tape.

I FREAKIN LOVED THIS SHOW !! IS IT ON ***** ANYWHERE? I LOVED THE EPISODE WHEN THE GUYS FOUND A PLAYBOY BOOK IN THE BOYS ROOM LOL.
This is very cool. I thought I was the only one who remembered this show. I have been telling people the opening **** for a long time. I was only 11 but would stay up every night and watch it. That is a trip that an eleven year old understood the whole role reversal thing. I have known the opening song by heart forever and everyone thinks it is very cool.
Anyone remember when (I don't remember her name) bought her little pet a firetruck as a present?

I enjoyed this show. Gary Sandy and Linda Grey made it fun. I've never seen it come back on, and that's kind of a shame.
This show was sooo cool...I worked 3rd shift at the time and was able to watch before I went to work. I remember Gary Sandy(THAT HOTTY!!!)..and Linda Grey..great premise for a show. Wish it would come back on on tv land...lol.

I remember it too! I think I was in junior high when it came out. I stumped a trivia master when I asked what the name of the 70s business role-reversal show was with Gary Sandy, Eileen Brennan... and wasn't Dixie Carter in it too? I can NEVER remember the name of it. Even Gary's website doesn't list the show!
And really... it's just TV... let's stop the political badminton.

This show never jumped. I always thought (though I was only 13 when it came out) that this was good tv and haven't thought that much since. Where are the days of Fernwood Tonight and Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman and Soap and All That Glitters? It's no surprise that Norman Lear had his hand in this. It had all the humor and maturity that he showed in The Odd Couple and Sanford and Son. The character in All That Glitters that was afflicted with agoraphobia was particularly sad to me although he was written as funny. The premise is fascinating and I think should be revisited many times. Neanderthals beware, women will inherit the Earth (meek or not).
I would have sworn on a stack of bibles that I was the only person on earth who watched ALL THAT GLITTERS. I'm glad to learn that I am not alone. In my area, this show came on right after MARY HARTMAN MARY HARTMAN. I thought the idea of sexual role reversal was extremely clever and the cast was great: Lois Nettleton, Chuck McCann, Anita Gillette, Gary Sandy (pre-WKRP, who I thought was a total babe), David Haskell, and Linda Gray (pre-Sue Ellen). This show was well-written and performed with energy and sincerity. The show never jumped the shark because it was never given a chance. This show was way ahead of its time and I think in this era of political correctness, ALL THAT GLITTERS would have been a smash hit in 2005.
I LOVED this show. I was only 12 years old when it aired and I don't really remember what time at night it came on. From what I've read it was pretty late. I must have watched summer reruns or something. Surely I wasn't up late on a school night. I wish someone would print the rest of the lyrics to that song here. I was grateful for the one post with some of the lyrics. I can remember the tune well.
I suddenly remembered this 1979 show about 7 years ago. I called a couple of radio trivia shows because I was in agony, trying to remember the name (I could only remember the premise and some of the actors). NOTE: Anita Gillette and Eileen Brennan were also on this show. I think I remember Greg Evigan (B.J. and the Bear, My Two Dads, et al) having been on this show at least once; but maybe I'm remembering him from his show with Late Nite bandleader Paul Schaeffer, A Year At The Top.
